JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of the job is to deliver ABP’s planned penetration of the Solar market.

a) Recruit, train and supervise the solar surveyors.
b) Design and technical competence for all solar installations
c) Preparing tender design submissions
d) Ensuring the measurement, design and pricing of contracts.
e) Delivering all necessary arrangements to set up and train operational management of contracts when secured.
f) Manage and maintain the MCS accreditation for Anglian
g) Manage all technical matters arising within the Solar sector.
h) Maintain and build on relationships with key contacts in the Solar market.

JOB CONTENT
Key Tasks:

  • Recruit, train and manage a team of surveyors with responsibility to measure all solar sales
  • Provide design and technical solutions for all solar sales.
  • Manage and maintain the MCS accreditation for sales and installation
  • Maintain a regime of site quality inspections to ensure standards of installations as required.
  • Support the Business Development Director and his team as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified technical competence necessary for MCS Qualified Supervisor role as defined within MCS standards.
  • Demonstrable and certified competence in the following disciplines:
    • Solar system design and installation, including SAP Solar resource assessment
    • Structural engineering, roof work and working at height
    • Electrical systems, including Conventional AC Electrical Systems (BS 7671), DC systems and non-conventional systems.
    • Grid connection requirements (G83/1, G59/1)
    • NVQ Level 2 plumbing or H&V (Domestic) or equivalent
    • Part P for electrical works
    • CAD drawing competence
    • Expertise creating and using MS Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to communicate with homeowners and excellent customer service standards.
