Key Accountabilities
Ensure inventory levels are adequate to meet demands. You will manage the activities of the Inventory Control department to ensure that supplies and materials are scheduled and delivered to the appropriate areas in accordance with, and using, Anglian inventory scheduling systems whilst maintaining the lowest possible inventory levels.
Identify excessive stock holding and suggest methods of disposal. You will constantly monitor inventory levels against agreed targets and eliminate excess stock levels at all locations within Anglian Manufacturing.
Ensure inventory accuracy and ensure root cause analysis is carried out on all stock variances. You will be expected to oversee and perform root cause analysis on all stock outs and unexpected stock movements. Upon completion of the root cause analysis you will be expected to undertake the necessary actions to remedy the errors.
Ensure all material storage and racking is in accordance with the relevant health and safety requirements. Within the Central Stores and relevant material storage areas within the factories you will be responsible for ensuring that all racking and storage complies with the relevant Health and safety requirements.
Liaise with suppliers on all delivery issues. You will be the escalation contact for Inventory Controllers when liaising with suppliers in all matters concerning deliveries and delivery performance.
Communicate possible supply failures with relevant management within Anglian and offer solutions to those failures. You will communicate effectively with all areas of Anglian in respect to external and internal deliveries.
Limit the amount of obsolete stock through communication with suppliers. You will work closely with all suppliers to manage enforced changes and limit stock obsolescence within Anglian.
Manage the activities of Central Stores. You will be responsible for the day to day management of Norwich Central Stores.
Supply Risk management.
