Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

  • Telecan Sales Targets:
    • Support of Data for Lead Targets
    • Volume Sales by Product - all products
  • Direct Lead and Sales Targets:
    • Directories (including Phone Book)
    • Doordrop
    • Direct Mail

Key Accountabilities

  • Achieve all sales volume targets for Direct Marketing lines
  • Manage within Cost of Sale budget targets
  • Communicate with Sales/RSM to boost sales return on direct leads
  • Support achievement of all Telecan lead and sales volumes
  • To control customer data in line with company policy, TPS and data protection legislation
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • To play an active part in the senior team within the marketing department – attending weekly update meetings and monthly departmental performance reviews
  • Line management of the data and direct team
  • To attend and contribute to Divisional and National Telecan meetings as appropriate
  • To innovate in the areas of data and direct communications to ensure the Company is always Raising The Standard
  • To keep abreast of and advise the Marketing Director of all changes in legislation regarding data management
  • To manage external partners/suppliers to ensure innovation, best practice and value for money
  • To vary strategy according to performance and ensure Marketing Director is aware of any changes having a sales or cost implication
  • To regularly update the RSM on performance, underperformance and issues relating to the management of direct leads.
  • The manage the flows of customer data held in Telecan offices through robust enforcement of control and security measures
  • To promote a safe working environment in respect of staff, customers and self-employed individuals by abiding by the health and safety regulations and procedures and to liaise with the Retail Health & Safety Manager on all matter relating to health and safety and risk assessment
  • Understand and fulfil your responsibilities under the Company’s equal opportunities policy in place from time to time
  • Adhere to and promote all company policies and procedures in place from time to time including those relating to HR and health and safety
  • To undertake any reasonable duties as directed by Marketing Director to achieve company objectives
ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 GCSE/O levels or equivalent at grade C or above, including Maths and English
  • Educated at a Higher National, degree or equivalent qualification level in a relevant discipline
  • EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience in a management role
  • Experience in a fast paced sales and marketing environment
  • Strong data experience
  • Business and commercial acumen
  • Experience of successfully managing external partners or suppliers
  • Background in a direct sales environment
  • Working with the self employed
